In El Mago, Isaac Díaz imagines a solitary traveler confronted by structures of enclosure which begin to resolve into symbols of passage: ornamental metalwork becomes part portal or puzzle, while coiled barbed wire forms an ouroboros of shelter and refusal; all markers of a journey underway.
